Thorpe Lea Dental in Staines-upon-Thames ensures a safe return for patients

The team at Thorpe Lea Dental is delighted to announce that we have successfully passed the British Dental Association’s strict Good Practice assessment for returning to work during the Covid-19 pandemic.Our Thorpe Road dental practice had to submit evidence for six questions posed by the BDA to ensure all the necessary arrangements are in place to treat patients in line with government social distancing and infection control measures.We were asked about:

• Preparing the site
• Reducing the risks for staff and patients
• Communicating and welcoming patients back
• The process for pre-appt triage
• Infection control procedures
• Patient considerations (the patient journey)
• Clinical considerations, management of the clinical surgery

We have received our certificate and have started welcoming our patients back for face-to-face care on Tuesday June 9.
