At my first Invisalign consultation with Colin Houston at Thorpe Lea Dental practice in Staines, I had x-rays, impressions and photos that were analysed.”“Invisalign then created an animation that showed how my teeth would move throughout treatment and the results that I could expect, which is very exciting. My treatment will take around a year and will involve 28 custom-made, crystal clear aligners that will be changed regularly to ensure my teeth move quickly.”
MY FIRST INVISALIGN ALIGNERS
“I have now started with my first aligners which I have been advised to wear between 10 days and two weeks before changing to my second aligner. The hardest thing so far is removing the virtually invisible retainers, so Colin suggested that I should try using a special retainer remover, which helps unclip the Invisalign aligners as they fit so snuggly around your teeth."“Not eating and drinking whilst wearing the Invisalign retainers is also something I will have to get used to. The clear aligners are much more comfortable than I expected. I haven’t had any sores or irritations, and no one has noticed I am wearing them, which is great.”
